experienced telecoms engineer

Our engineering and support team is growing, and we are looking for experienced telecoms and cabling engineers to join our business and hit the ground running.

Role includes:

  • Hands-on installation of a range of communications systems
  • Phone system configuration, network provision and application installations
  • In-House support and fault resolution
  • Travelling nationwide to implement product solutions
  • Communication with end users to provide training on a range of products 
  • Taking ownership of installation procedure, from initial pre-configuration to afterlife support

Skills required:

  • Telephone system installation experience
  • Technical knowledge and a strong IT background
  • Problem solving abilities and strong communication skills
  • Experience with configuring routers, computer programs and servers
  • A full UK driving licence – a company car will be provided
  • Ideally you will have previous cabling and system implementation experience

This is diverse role for any engineer who has a passion for a high level of both service provision and end user experience.

To assist with our end-to-end system installs, RPM are looking to bring on an individual who is keen to bring an efficient and high level of service during initial system rollout in a variety of environments.

Role includes:

  • Hands-on installation of Cat5e cabling and network infrastructure
  • The setup and pre-configuration of a site before system rollout
  • In-House support and fault resolution
  • Travelling nationwide to implement product solutions and interrogate network stability
  • Assist senior technical engineers with the ‘go-live’ of new systems
  • Taking ownership of installation procedure, from initial pre-configuration to afterlife support

Skills required:

  • Knowledge and prior experience with cabling a variety of building types
  • Technical knowledge and a strong IT background
  • Attention to detail and tidy/resilient network rollout
  • Ability to survey a site to meet the necessary product requirements
  • A full UK driving licence – a company car will be provided
  • Ideally you will have previous telecoms experience, although this is not essential

This role requires an engineer who is very organised and can manage time constraints whilst meeting a high standard of cabling infrastructure. There are also progression routes and training into other areas of our technical team.
